To begin the smile in a day dental implant procedure, your first step is to schedule a consultation with myself. During this consultation, we will explore all suitable options to meet your needs.
I will determine the ideal number of implants needed for your specific case. This can range from 4, 5, or 6 implants per jaw, depending on the best treatment outcome for you. We utilise advanced technology such as CBCT scans and digital 3D software to plan the entire procedure virtually, making any necessary adjustments to achieve the predicted final result.
The smile in a day dental implant procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia or dental sedation. I will surgically place 4-6 implants into the jawbone, ensuring a secure foundation for the replacement teeth. In some cases, implants may also be placed in the Zygomatic and Pterygoid bones to provide additional stability and predictable long-term results.
The surgical phase involves the removal of teeth (if necessary) and the placement of implants, which usually takes around 2 hours per jaw (upper or lower). Following the implant placement, approximately 30 minutes will be dedicated to bite calculation and impression taking.
Your new “smile in a day” prosthesis will be placed, providing you with your first set of fixed teeth. A few weeks later, you will return to receive your final set of teeth.
