A dental implant is a small titanium post that sits in the jawbone, where your natural tooth root used to be. Once it’s in place and healed, which takes a few months, a custom-made crown is attached on top. The result looks, feels, and functions like a real tooth.
There’s no removal. Nothing to take out at night. Nothing to stick in with adhesive. You brush it and forget about it, the same way you would any other tooth.
A single implant replaces one tooth. For people missing several teeth, multiple implants or a full arch solution like All-on-4 can replace an entire row, top, bottom, or both, on just four implants per arch.
This is the question almost everyone asks first and the honest answer is that most adults with missing teeth are suitable for dental implants. The majority of people who assume they’re not turn out to be wrong.
The most common reasons people think they’ve been ruled out:
Bone loss does reduce the options available, but it doesn’t automatically close the door. Bone grafting, sinus lifts, and techniques like zygomatic implants — which anchor into the cheekbone rather than the jaw — mean that treatment is still possible for many patients who’ve been turned away elsewhere.
Treated and stable gum disease doesn’t rule implants out. What matters is the current health of your gums and bone, not your history. If gum disease is active, it needs to be brought under control first — but that’s a step, not a barrier.
Failed or complicated implants from overseas treatment are increasingly common. They can be assessed, and in many cases, corrected. A proper clinical review is needed first to understand exactly what’s there and what’s possible.
There is no upper age limit for dental implants. What matters is your general health and the condition of your jawbone, not the number on your birthday card. Many patients in their seventies and eighties have successful implant treatment.
The only reliable way to know if implants are right for you is a proper assessment. Everything else, Google, a friend’s experience, something a dentist said ten years ago, is guesswork.

“When other dentists in Cheshire have a complex implant case, they refer it to Dr Nik.”
Dr Nik has focused his entire career on a single discipline: implant dentistry. His MSc from the University of Manchester is one of the most rigorous implant qualifications available in the UK. It is not a weekend course. It is years of clinically assessed postgraduate training.
His 99.9% success rate across hundreds of cases reflects what that level of training produces: meticulous planning, precise surgical execution, and an absolute refusal to treat implant dentistry as routine.
He teaches implant dentistry at postgraduate level at the University of Manchester. He is a Key Opinion Leader for Osstem UK, one of the leading global implant manufacturers. He mentors other implant clinicians at the Cambridge Implant Academy. When dental practices across Cheshire and the wider North West have a patient whose case is too complex to manage in-house, they refer to Dr Nik.
EXCELLENT Based on 9 reviews Posted on Google carol ellisTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I met and spoke to Georgina at the reception desk. She was warm & welcoming and gave me information about signing up as a new patient . I have been struggling with a problem for the past 2 years and unhappy with prior treatment and previous consultations with various consultants. Within a week I got to see Dr Nikita Dzyuba who listened to my problem and asked many questions. He carried out an extensive examination plus x ray and identified medical and neurological problems consistent with my pain . A letter of referral to a consultant neurologist has now been sent to my gp for further investigation. I feel he went above and beyond any other examination carried out prior to this and I left feeling reassured and hopeful for a speedy outcome.Posted on Google sandra hickeyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I’ve had a front tooth implant and the service I experienced was exemplary . The staff were all knowledgeable and the care from all the team was brilliant. I feel the costs were worth every penny. Brunner court has always been welcoming and any treatment has been excellent. After being unable to get in at an NHS dentist I now wouldn't want to change even if I got the chance. I used to be scared to go to the dentist and would avoid going as long as possible, because of how positive all my experiences have been here this I no longer the case.Posted on Google Jane ChallonerTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My bottom teeth were failing and I know dentures for the bottom jaw are uncomfortable and difficult. I wanted to enjoy my food and eating experience for my lifetime. The reviews for Brunner Court were good and competitive. The response was quick, efficient and realistic. I had a full implant on the bottom there were no problems, Comfortably eating anything I choose. 2 years on follow up is reassuring but not too much. If considering implants would highly recommend the free consultation where advice will be realistic and reliable.Posted on Google Anne BerringtonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great warm and friendly staff.Posted on Google Rachel KellettTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I can’t recommend Krunal and Kelly highly enough for the incredible care I received during my dental implant treatment. I had been missing back teeth for around 25 years, and the idea of implants was daunting, especially knowing it could be a challenging case. From the very beginning, Krunal and Kelly talked me through the entire process step by step, explaining everything clearly and honestly, which immediately put me at ease. They were both exceptionally kind and patient, taking the time to manage any nerves I had and never making me feel rushed or dismissed. Pain management was excellent throughout — I felt well cared for at every stage, and any discomfort was handled calmly and professionally. Despite the complexity of my case, the level of care, skill, and attention to detail was outstanding. The results have genuinely exceeded my expectations. After so many years without these teeth, it’s life-changing to have them restored so successfully. I’m extremely grateful to both Krunal and Kelly for their expertise, compassion, and reassurance, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering dental implants.Posted on Google Mike PotterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Every smile in this gallery belongs to a Heritage Smile Group patient. Placed personally by Dr Nik.
A thorough clinical assessment including x-rays and 3D CBCT imaging where needed. Dr Nik explains your options clearly, gives you a confirmed written cost, and answers every question you have. Free, no obligation, no pressure.
Your treatment is planned precisely using three-dimensional imaging. Every implant position, angle, and depth is mapped before the day of surgery. This planning is what makes the procedure safe, accurate, and predictable.
Over three to four months, the implants fuse naturally with the jawbone. Dr Nik monitors progress at regular review appointments throughout.
Your final custom-designed prosthesis is fitted. The result you have been working towards is complete, and it is designed to last a lifetime.

Apples, steak, crusty bread. No more adjusting your diet around your teeth.

No self-consciousness, no awareness, no moment of hesitation before a photograph.

Implants stimulate the jawbone the way natural roots do, preventing the progressive bone loss that dentures cannot stop.

Fixed teeth that stay in place all day, every day. Brushed in place just like natural teeth.

Designed to last a lifetime. Not a five-year fix that needs revisiting.

Every implant at Heritage Smile Group is placed personally by Dr Nik, not a junior clinician.
There are three main ways to replace missing teeth, and they’re not equally good. Here’s an honest comparison.
Permanent and fixed. Look and feel like natural teeth. Preserve the jawbone underneath. The most expensive option upfront and the most cost-effective over a lifetime because they don’t need replacing.
Removable. Less expensive initially. Can slip or affect speech and eating. Bone loss continues underneath because there’s no root to stimulate the jaw. Most patients find them a compromise they learn to live with, rather than a solution they’re happy with.
Fixed in place, but rely on the teeth either side of the gap being filed down as supports. Those healthy teeth are permanently altered. If the bridge fails, you’ve lost three teeth, not one. They also don’t prevent the bone loss beneath the gap.
Implants are the closest thing dentistry has to replacing a tooth properly, root and all. They’re not right for everyone, and a free assessment is the right place to start that conversation.
You’re not alone, and you’re genuinely welcome here
Dental anxiety is more common than you might think. Whether it stems from a difficult past experience, fear of pain, or simply feeling vulnerable in the chair, we understand that visiting the dentist can feel overwhelming.
Dr. Nik and the team are well known for making anxious patients feel at ease, it’s one of the things patients mention most often in their reviews. We work differently with nervous patients: taking time to listen, explaining everything before doing it, and moving at your pace, not ours.
The treatment you’ve been putting off doesn’t have to wait until you’ve saved every penny. We offer flexible monthly payment plans through Tabeo on most treatments, including 0% interest finance on eligible procedures.
| Treatment | Total | 0% Finance (12 months) |
|---|---|---|
| Single Complete Implant | From £2,550 | From £172/month |
| Full Arch Silver Package | From £11,500 | From £862/month |
| Full Arch Gold Package | From £14,500 | From £1,087/month |
| Both Arches Platinum Package | From £19,500 | From £1,462/month |
Need longer to pay? Finance beyond 12 months is available and subject to interest. APR and total cost confirmed in writing before you agree to anything.

Not a general dentist who occasionally places implants. A clinician who has dedicated his career to this.

Bone loss, failed implants, patients told no elsewhere. A second opinion from Dr Nik has changed the outcome for many patients who thought treatment was impossible.

Wilmslow for east Cheshire and south Manchester. Northwich for central and south Cheshire. No long trip out of the county for world-class implant treatment.

The price in your treatment plan is the price you pay. No hidden extras, no surprise charges at the end.

Spread the cost over monthly payments. A single complete implant from approximately £172 per month.
The cost depends on how many teeth you’re replacing and what your case involves. Here’s what to expect as a starting point.
From £2,550 complete — implant, abutment, and crown. On 0% finance over 12 months, that’s from approximately £192 per month.
From £11,500 per arch. On 0% finance over 12 months, that’s from approximately £862 per month.
From £19,500 for a full-mouth reconstruction. Finance options available. Everything confirmed in writing before you commit.
The implant system used, the experience of the placing clinician, and the quality of the planning process all affect cost and outcome. Cheaper isn’t always wrong, but it’s always worth knowing what you’re getting.
Every treatment at Heritage Smile Group is fully costed and provided in writing before you make any decision. There are no surprise charges and no pressure to proceed. Finance is provided through Tabeo. Written quotations available on request.
Heritage Smile Group is a credit broker, not a lender. Finance subject to status and eligibility.
This is what most people want to know and are almost embarrassed to ask. The honest answer is that implant placement is almost always considerably more comfortable than people expect.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. You’ll feel pressure and movement, but not pain. Most patients say afterwards that they were bracing themselves for something far worse than what actually happened.
After the anaesthetic wears off, there’s typically some soreness and mild swelling for a few days — manageable with paracetamol or ibuprofen. Most people take a day or two off and feel fine after that.
If the idea of even that level of discomfort worries you, sedation is available. You’ll be awake but in a deeply relaxed state throughout. Many anxious patients find it genuinely changes the experience.
For a single implant, the process typically takes between three and six months from start to finish. The implant is placed first, then left to fuse with the bone over several months before the crown goes on top.
For full arch cases, the timeline is similar — but many patients are candidates for Smile-in-a-Day, where a complete set of fixed temporary teeth is placed on the same day as the implant surgery. You leave the practice with teeth. The final permanent prosthesis is fitted a few months later, once everything has healed and integrated properly.
Not everyone is suitable for same-day treatment — it depends on your individual case. Your assessment will confirm what’s possible for you.
A well-placed implant, looked after properly, can last a lifetime. The titanium post that goes into the bone typically stays there permanently. The crown on top, which takes all the wear of daily chewing, may need replacing after 15 to 25 years, depending on how well it’s cared for.
What affects longevity most is good oral hygiene and regular check-ups. Implants can’t decay, but the gum and bone around them can be affected by neglect. Treat them the way you’d treat natural teeth and they’ll reward you accordingly.
It’s a proper clinical consultation, not a sales appointment dressed up with a medical-sounding name.
At your assessment, the clinician will review your dental history, examine your mouth, and use digital imaging to get a clear picture of your bone levels, gum health, and what options are realistic for your situation. If 3D scanning is needed to assess your bone, that’s carried out at the same visit.
By the end of it, you’ll know whether implants are suitable for you, what the treatment would involve, how long it would take, and what it would cost. Everything in writing. No obligation to proceed. No follow-up pressure.
Most people walk out having had their questions answered for the first time, properly, by someone actually looking at their mouth.
You’re not alone, and you don’t need to explain yourself. Dental anxiety affects a significant number of adults, many of whom have been putting off treatment for years, sometimes decades, because of it.
The assessment is just a conversation. There’s no treatment at that appointment unless you ask for it. You sit in the chair, someone listens to your situation, and you leave knowing where you stand. That’s it.
When treatment does happen, sedation is available for patients who would prefer to be in a more relaxed state throughout. You’re awake, but calm. A lot of anxious patients tell us it was the thing that made it possible for them.
